I used this some time ago (before a major version update)  to make simple changes to some old web pages. It worked well and was simple enough to use. Having to make some more changes to those pages, I have installed it again.

Installed onto a laptop still running KUbuntu 11.10

Download the latest deb file then install…

sudo dpkg -i /tmp/amaya_wx-R.V-1_i386.deb

Update

Amaya has a habit of crashing occasionally. Save often. If it does crash, I found a .bak file in home/.amaya which was recent.
