Turnigy 9X Transmitter Update

For about 4 years I have been using a simple 6-channel Dynam 35MHz RC transmitter.

I have recently setup my Turnigy 9X transmitter for 35MHz, so now I can use the programmable features.

Some time ago I modified the 9X to operate at 433MHz, fitting a antenna socket in place of the telescopic antenna. Then I bought a JR 35 synthesized module cheap on Trademe and needed the long antenna back. I finally solved the problem when Phil suggested making a long whip that plugs into the socket. Back in business, and I have 5 meters of 4.5mm GF rod left over.

I originally modified the 9X to have a built in ATMega USB programmer. and installed after-market firmware. This has worked well on the few occasions I have used it.
