Automatic Gate & Door Controller

This is a 68HC11 based module that connects to the drive motor, limit switches, safety beams etc. It is ideally suited to controlling gates and doors that are connected to access control systems.

I have used this unit to control gates (both AC and battery backed DC), and garage doors ranging in size from small 1 car sectional doors to large industrial roller doors.

Card Reader Isolator

This unit is designed to be connected in series with the cable to a Wiegand or Magnetic card reader. It provides electrical isolation and signal conditioning. It will permit extra long cable runs and improve reliability in hostile environments.

It has been used mostly to isolate the control equipment from trailing cables and card readers in lift cars.

68HC11 Based Control Boards

I have designed a number of 68HC11 based control boards. These include versions with buffered analog and digital inputs, digital, relay and triac outputs, Dallas 1-wire port.

A Few Pictures

The CPU_1A1 68HC11 board with an AA battery.

CPU_1A1 development board.

A 3 circuit phase control triac output board.

18W, 12V DC fluorescent inverter

Door or Gate controller.

Voltage to Resistance converter.

30 Watt off-line 13.8V power supply. Supports battery backup and dynamic battery testing. Has mains fail and battery low relay outputs.

8 way relay output module.

Phone line ring detector, or line monitor.

11 watt fluorescent inverter. Operates from 75V DC supply. Used in railway locomotives.

68HC11 board with ISA connector for modem and IO expansion. Lots of features.

2 to 1 Thermistor thingy

Above HC11 board with I/O expansion, including Floppy Drive.

Gear tray with Floppy drive at the back, HC11 control board then I/O board at the front. ISA connection between the two boards.
