INTRODUCTION

The GPC_5A1 provides an easy way to connect one or more LCD modules to a micro or other controlling device (the master).

FEATURES

  • Multiple modules connect to the same 3-wire interface

  • Expansion modules can interrupt master for prompt service
  • Interface = 3-wire + ground (5 cores includes +12V & 0V)
  • Power required = 12V DC for most modules

TO MAKE IT GO

The GPC_5A1 must be connected to a data source (master) and power supply to operate.

Note that the power supply can be 10 to 15V DC and must be able to supply enough current for the LED backlighting; typically 50 to 100mA.
