I was looking for some brushless motors and prop sets to modify a twin motor aerial photography plane. I thought about HobbyKing and decided that for quicker delivery I’d pay a bit extra and buy locally. My usual local supplier doesn’t have counter-rotating props.
My next thought was Foamworks, but last time I visited their web site wouldn’t process the order and threw back some error messages; so they’re out.
On to 436 Model Shop because they have a large range of stock and should have everything I need. For an infrequent visitor, their category list is poor, incomplete and slow to navigate. They have lots of items listed and few pictures. If you don’t know exactly what you want it’s a major PITA to sort out.
I guess it’s back to HobbyKing where they have choice, product images, ease of site navigation and ordering, and lower prices. Just the shipping and NZ customs hassles/expenses.
I know it’s difficult, time consuming and/or expensive to setup and maintain a user friendly web site. But if you don’t, you can’t complain when customers go elsewhere.
I should learn from this and update my own web site.
