PC Power Supply Repaired

Back in late November my main PC went off and would not switch back on. At the time I swapped the guts out into an old tower case to get up and running quickly.

I have now repaired the original power supply from the low-profile case. A few of its capacitors were failing due to heat and age, so a complete new set and it’s ready for another five years.

After initial testing it passed a 24 hour soak test with a old motherboard, DVD, HDD and an extra dummy load to make it up to about 100 watts. The original PC runs about 70 watts.
