Description

This is a pair of miniature boards that provide robust buffering of I2C signals.

Originally designed for use with a 3-axis gimbal controller.  The I2C buffer allows the camera-IMU to be extended beyond the usual 6 inches (150mm) and operate reliably.  Reliability is maintained even with motor and other wiring passing through slip-rings and being loomed with the I2C wiring.  Tested with camera-IMU wiring lengths of 800 to 1000 mm.

Can also be used to buffer other I2C applications. Typically where longer lengths are needed and wiring is prone to interference.

The buffer consists of a small board at each end of the I2C line. The images show the boards connected for use with the Storm32 camera-IMU.

Note: just the two boards are supplied in the set, not the wiring.
