Asus – downloads

I needed a motherboard manual to sort out some USB headers. So rather than searching through all my files I went to Google on the laptop which took me straight to the product page on the Asus web site.

To download anything Asus wanted to know what OS, so I selected “other”. BTW, other than “other”, the list only has windows options. This returned a list of categories which lead to manuals and the english version. Very simple and pretty much what I expected.

Clicking on the file link popped up a window saying I had to install the download manager and needed active-x enabled. All I wanted was the pdf file.

For free support downloads I have to declare my OS and install a download manager… WTF… they can forget that crap. I’m not buying another Asus product.
