It’s amazing how many of the tech-talks are poorly recorded. Considering all the experts that must be floating around and the huge community of follow up listeners, you’d think they could at least get the audio levels right.
It’s also interesting, actually sad, how many of the speakers try to make jokes and they fall flat. Forget the jokes and get on with the topic.
I though this would be interesting:
Embedded Linux Conference 2013 – KEYNOTE Panel: Is Android The New Embedded Linux
It probably would have been but… The relative volumes between the speakers was way off, so it had to be turned up. This meant that the host was far too loud. Also, the host kept making one-word comments; right, cool, sure, OK…… along with the loud bouts of laughter made it extremely irritating to listen to. I stopped listening after 7 minutes.
I made this post here because I tried 3 times to post a comment on the page and each time got an error message “I’m sorry, the page you’re trying to reach has either moved or is no longer available“.
This is “The Linux Foundation” according to the logo at the top of the page. If they don’t want comments, don’t provide the option. IF you do want comments, make the Frickin page function.
This is a relatively small thing, but it adds to what is perceived to be wrong with Linux; complicated, only for geeks and doesn’t quite work correctly.
