Capsicums grow well in the greenhouse but are quickly infested with aphids which are impossible to overcome without chemicals.  Outside they don’t grow as well but nature keeps the aphids under control.

We planted a few capsicum seeds in pots indoors, before mid winter, not the best time.  They sprouted quickly producing 2 leaves and then stopped growing, when they worked out that it was mid winter.  No change over six weeks.

I bought some low cost 400mm 24V grow light strips from Aliexpress.  Mounting 7 strips to see if we could trick the capsicums back to growing.  Turned on for about 14 hours a day.

For 3-4 days nothing happened then over a week a second pair of leaves grew.  It seems to work.
